We are very pleased to publish this first issue of The ESI Bulletin. ESI is a multi-disciplinary, autonomous research institute established within the National University of Singapore. As Southeast Asia’s first think-tank devoted to analysis of energy issues, it was formally launched on 12 November 2007 by Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang, at the Singapore Electricity Roundtable 2007 held at the Raffles City Convention Centre.
